Telecommunication Technician

We are currently recruiting an experienced Telecommunications Technicians for our growing company

Your main duties will involve:

• Install Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Install Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)
• Fibre Splicing, OTDR Testing
• Install Underground Service Drop, Bulk Drop
  

• examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed
• locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters. ammeters and transmission measuring equipment
• attaching wires and cables to appliances
• adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments
• installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV and computer transmission
• joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae
• Installation of phone & data cabling in residential/commercial properties both internal and underground conduit installation.
  

To start the job you must have:

• Certificate III in Telecommunications
• Open Cable Licence; and Fibre Optic Endorsement
• NBN Safety and Awareness
• Valid Senior First Aid Ticket
• Construction White Card
• Drivers Licence
• Must be prepared to work on the tools, when required
