Activities that intern will be trained in:


ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT DUTIES


- Bookkeeping work, MYOB Xero date entry
- Preparing & lodging tax return and BAS statement and follow up of lodgment
- Keep up to date with legislative changes
- Liaising with ATO regarding client taxation matters



PARAPLANNER DUTIES


- Taking phone calls and messages on behalf of the financial planner
- Typing, filing, photocopying, binding of presentation documents and other administrative duties as directed
- Follow up on processing of business lodged with fund Managers and Insurers
- Preparing Statement of Advice, record of Advice and other client engagement letters
- Updating and maintaining various spreadsheets and specialist computer programs specific to the work undertaken to this office (appropriate training will be provided).
- Prepare insurance quotes and retirement modeling projections for clients
- Assisting in the completion of investment and insurance applications
- undertake other tasks as required




Candidate Profile

Completed degree in Accounting/Commerce/Financial planning
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowlege of myob/Xero data entrying and preparing individual tax return.
A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a small team.
