I wish to know how to get a driving license in Adelaide, as I heard from my friends that it is easy to get one in Australia.
Recently, I have passed the road theory test to get a L plate, and now I am looking to do the next step.
I have visited the RAA homepage, and I realised that the driving lessons are so expensive.
Can anybody tell me about how to get a driving license in Adelaide in a good price and how to find a driving instructor?

After you passed your theory test, you need to find an instructor to train you how to drive properly as per the standards set by the government.
There are 3 types of instructors:
1. Basic instructor who can only train you how to drive but cannot do either CBT or VORT;
2. An accredited instructor who will train you how to drive and complete the CBT and be able to issue you a certificate of competency in order to convert your L to P license;
3. An authorised instructor who can do both CBT and VORT.
You must have held your learner's license for at least 12 months (6 months if you are >25 years old) AND either pass the VORT (Vehicle on the Road test) or complete CBT (Competency Based Training) AND pass the HPT (Hazard Perception Test) before you can get your license converted.
Hope that helps.作者: jianxin 时间: 6-1-2015 16:36
