If you got a SA licence, you can use it in other states. Some states may requires you to change licence (pay$$, no test, no exam) if you moved to that state.
Your friend have to be change to Australian licence within 3 months.
1)approved translation
2)legal oversea licence
3)ask a driving instructor (or your friends) to prepare the road test, when you are ready then
4)book in a theory test
5)pass road test (VORT) within 30 days
6)bless government won't select you for revalidation
